Edgar Morin
Philosopher, anthropologist. His research in philosophy, history and sociology is focused on creating respect for both individuals and the complex wholes in which individuals live their lives. His book "L'Esprit du Temps" is a milestone in contemporary sociological research. To cope with the fundamental problems of our time, he offers a diagnosis, a code of ethics and a reform of our thinking. Edgar Morin has received several honours and prizes, including Commandeur de 1' Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, and the Prix Media.
