It is with profound sorrow that the Club of Budapest announces the passing of its Founder and President, Dr. Ervin László—internationally acclaimed philosopher, systems scientist, author, and external member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, whose life's work inspired people across cultures and disciplines.
For more than half a century, Dr. László dedicated himself to advancing a new understanding of humanity's place in an interconnected world. Through his pioneering ideas and his unwavering commitment to dialogue among science, the arts, spirituality, and ethics, he encouraged leaders and citizens alike to embrace responsibility for the future of our planet and of one another.
His vision gave birth to the Club of Budapest and continues to guide its mission. While we mourn the loss of an extraordinary thinker and a deeply respected friend, we also celebrate a life devoted to wisdom, compassion, and the pursuit of a more peaceful, sustainable, and conscious world.
Dr. Ervin László's legacy will live on in the work of the Club of Budapest and in the countless individuals around the world whom he inspired. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
